Inspiration of the Week: Oh So Not Traditional

Did you know? White wasn’t always a commonplace bridal gown color? In short, it started when Queen Victoria walked down the aisle in white. Before then, brides wore their most flattering gown or their favorite dress no matter the color…This post is for you brides out there who just don’t see yourself wearing a white gown on your wedding day. And, there is nothing wrong with that.
Sarah Jessica Parker wore black for her wedding as did Jennifer Connelly. For Miranda in a ‘Sex and the City’ episode, a white dress was out of the question, so she opted for a long dark dress as well. My maternal Grandmother didn’t wear white on her wedding day either. And, Gwen Stefani’s gown faded up from pink at the bottom…
