Inspirational Words of Wisdom – no. 4
This errs more on the side of everyday advice + ettiquette than inspiration…but I thought I would share something I've learned to live by with you. It is very wedding appropriate as it can be applied to wedding planning (and relationships with vendors, etc).

"Don't assume people always know something you know. Whether it is something a person is doing wrong, something he or she should be doing, or even something that you know is a faux pas. It takes a stronger and smarter person to speak up and be honest than it does to sit on the sidelines not saying a word. By speaking up [in a nice way, of course], you are truly helping that person." – me
A colleague said to me, when talking about her colleague, "I can't believe she does that…" But if her colleague doesn't know what she is doing wrong, you can't really hold it against her, can you? And as a friendly side note, tweeting about it, putting it as your facebook status, etc. doesn't count as talking. You should find that when you open up and are honest, there is far less venting that you need to do.Did you like this? If so, you can easily bookmark it, RSS feed.
