I have a thing for engagement sessions that are truly multifaceted – that show more than one side of the couple + their different styles + interests. With that said, it is no wonder I truly enjoyed this engagement session by Kari Crowe Photography.

Those of you who know me, know I am a White Sox fan. But when Michele from Misha Media sent these Cubs-themed engagement session photos my way, I knew I wanted to share them with you. These are some cool shots.

Today is rainy. In Chicago, you rearrange your day when the weather is nice to get out and enjoy the day. In So Cal, you rearrange your plans when it is rainy – because it barely ever rains!

Since I have rain [and with that, extreme productivity] on the mind, here is some rainy day inspiration. Because after all, it is not 75 degrees and sunny every day, every where…and rain on the wedding day means some very cool photos…

My plan my last year in college was to move to France if I didn’t get a
job immediately after school [I loved living in - and always love
traveling to - Europe]. I was offered a job I enjoyed, so I didn’t end up
moving to France…but something tells me if I did, I would indeed love it!

An American [Couple] in Paris…

With the Cannes Film Festival underway, I’ve had French inspired design + weddings on my mind. Here are some truly magnifique images from the wedding of fellow Chicagoans…in Paris, photographed by Studio Cabrelli. Tres jolie!

I spotted this lovely wedding photographed by Stephanie Williams, on her blog. In addition to the beautifully shot images, I love all of the details of the wedding party attire. This wedding is like modern, preppy + chic all in one. Everything ties in so well + creates such a clean, crisp look.

The venue is Alcazar Garden in Balboa Park/ San Diego California.

I love the cute navy blue bridesmaids dresses, flower girl outfit + her floral pomander
ball…

not to mention the tan suits + the groom’s blue polka dot tie.

The bride wore Melissa Sweet, the men wore suits from Banana Republic, and the adorable shoes are Chinese Laundry.
